Space to think
Our snug provides space for individual guests to enjoy some quiet time to think and write.
While we hope you will use it as a space for stress-reduction techniques such as writing a journal, we recognise that sometimes work is a necessity even for short breaks in nature. This room makes a perfect office for remote meetings or study for upcoming exams!
Younger kids love the snug and often claim it as their space: a drawing desk, a comfy sofa to read a book or message friends, board games and puzzles spread out on the floor - a zone where they can be together away from all the grown ups.

Dog friendly accommodation
We love dogs here at Westerlands. Lower Barn House provides dog bowls, treats and private fenced in gardens. We also have a warm water shower hose in the garden and dog towels too!
We do ask guests to bring their own dog beds.
We support the SDNP Take the lead campaign which means keeping dogs on a lead outside the garden. This is for their own safety around farm machinery as well as the welfare of our animals - our chickens roam free - as well as the abundance of wildlife here on the South Downs.
Bring your horse on holiday
Our stable yard is just a 5 minute walk from Lower Barn House and this is where you can arrange turnout and stabling for your horse while you are staying with us. Please contact us for more information and prices.
You can also book additional horses for you and your guests to explore the South Downs. Rides can be booked with at our Trekking Centre.
